- National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) -- Every November
- Scribophile -- a web-based writer's group. I highly recommend joining ANY writing group
- Other authors-- you meet them online or at events. I'm HIGHLY introverted and yet this has been my most valuable asset
