Character Spotlight: Dante Roril

Welcome to the 2nd character profile from my soon-to-be published novel, "The Aeonians"! In the making of this novel, I had used a character profile tool I found online and here are the results. Keep in mind, it's pretty casual.

So, WHO is Dante Roril? He is a close friend to the main character, Isabel Deran (See previous post: http://jelliotklimov.weebly.com/works/who-is-isabel-deran) and leader of the Tuuli tribe. The Tuuli are one of four tribes in the country of Deran. He has struggled to rise up the ranks from servant to leader and continues to struggle throughout "The Aeonians". What makes this soul so tortured? You will have to read the novel to find out! Until then, check out his "profile".

• Residence: District of Buryan; Chief’s chateau
• General Appearance: Long oval face, gentle features, prominent nose and chin, thin lips. Dirty blonde hair, and blue eyes. Lanky.
• Height 6’4

• Clothing Choices white and silver (silver for higher status) garments
• Hair Color dirty blonde (darker than typical Tuuli); shoulder length

• Tattoos / Marks “tattoo”of wings on his back
• Role in the Story He is Chief of the Tuuli, a species of fair-skinned, winged-folk. He is trying to enforce a “wingless society”. His fate is constantly intertwined with Isabel's.
• Key Relationships Close friend and confidant to Isabel. Has a deep rivalry with Leif, an elder whom he sees as a threat.
• Education none- feels this has disadvantaged him in the eyes of his scholarly colleagues
• Work History Servant for Vindur (The previous chief)

• Key Childhood Experiences Came over as a refugee from the mainland of Waaken. Servant to Tuuli chief, Vindur. Met the two Princesses of Deran: Isabel and Victoria.
• Key Teenage Experiences Being taken under Vindur’s wing.
• Key Adult Experiences Becoming Tuuli leader at a young age. Learning to negotiate with other tribes.
• Favorites Enjoys rare steaks, cheeses and wine. Loves silk fabric. Enjoys Deranian and Tuuli music (more classical) and reading books on strategy (previous rulers and wars)
• Goals and Motivations Be a revered leader. Revolutionary. Wants to marry Deranians and Tuuli and unite as a larger ally.
• Morality / Ethics As a child, he was raised to work hard and strive to “climb the stairs of power” from Victoria and his father/mother.​
• Additional Information
• Dante grew up as a servant boy who had a thirst to climb the social ladder, which is uncommon in Tuuli culture (very stratified). Influenced by the late Princess Victoria and made possible by Vindur.
