The Most Wonderful Time of the Year (aside from pneumonia)

11/29/2017

Greetings, readers and writers alike! We are approaching the most wonderful time of year! Sure, in many regions (such as my own) it becomes frigid, snowy, and the sun is up only a few hours a day - BUT who can resist the sparkling lights dripping from every house, the smell of pine wafting in the breeze, bells jingling around every corner, and that invisible spark that seems to find its way into people's smiles?

BUT ENOUGH OF THAT.

I've been off the grid for a bit- my apologies. A lot has happened, the latest being a lovely case of pneumonia. I wanted to share a few updates:

(1) "The Aeonians" blog tour has officially ended. THANK YOU to all hosts. If you missed any or are interested, click the button below.

(2) There are a lot of local festivals and bazaars during the holidays. I recommend supporting local authors, artists, and artisans. Period. I have found myself veering away from big box stores unless I have to. Most of my Christmas presents are locally made :)

In the meantime, if you live in Massachusetts, there are TWO venues that I will be attending. Check it out if you're in the area.

The first is a children's book festival. The second is a very hipster "Make it Local" event that supports domestic violence resources. Such as great cause. Check out the very pretty pictures below!

(3) NaNoWriMo is wrapping up. I just wanted to conclude this post to all my writer buds out there. NaNoWriMo is just the beginning! You whipped up 50k words (or whatever your personal goal was)- and you got to keep at it. It's kind of like New Years Resolutions. You make them, and you should continue them. And YES, it is possible to keep a resolution. :p

Take care. More frequent, fun posts to come. Promise.

*Peace*
JE
