Picture*This photo doesn't belong to me* This is a model photo whom I based Isabel's appearance from.
Welcome to the first of many character profiles I will be revealing throughout the month! They are the lives in my beloved "hope-to-be-published" novel, The Aeonians. I used a character profile format I found online and here are the results. Keep in mind, it's pretty casual.

So, WHO is Isabel? She is more than a protagonist...Her personality was drawn from my own when I was younger (see previous blog). "Isabel" originated from the Christian name chosen by my grandmother, and I wanted to honor her in some way.

Just note that The Aeonians is in its submission process- please respect the details of my novel, including my characters. aka. (c)2017 J.E. Klimov All Rights Reserved

So, welcome Isabel!

  • Key Relationships Queen Febe+ King Hadi: Her parents. Has a healthy relationship. They held a slight favoritism towards Victoria.. Victoria: Even though Isabel's sister is gone, she feels as if lived in shadow of younger sister. Her death that haunts her. Feels guilt. Dante: Love interest.
  • Education  In Deran, women receive the same education as men. Education is equally valued by royalty and lay folk; however, for those like Isabel- mannerisms/etiquette is emphasized. Isabel sometimes sneaks off to learn swordwork/archery.
  • Skills Good with needle and thread. Has steady hands/great aim

  • Sexual Background None.
  • Favorites (food, clothing, art, music, TV show, movie, book) Enjoys turkey legs and fresh berries; reading the legend of the Aeonians and enjoying the gothic style art in the castle chapel. Likes the primitive tempo/music of the Dunyas. Doesn’t care for “royal” music and Tuuli classical music.
  • Goals and Motivations Goals are to master all forms of weaponry. Motivated to earn respect from her people.
  • Morality / Ethics Cares more about honesty that diplomacy. Values all life.
  • Style of Speech While trained to “speak” like a princess, she tends to sip out casual language. Loud.
  • Additional Information
    • In general, she is down to earth, quick witted and more blunt than her sibling. She may be awkward in larger and more formal events but still does well. Tomboy at heart. While not obnoxious, she does tend to blurt out her thoughts.
    • Descendant of the royal family, the Derans, who defeated the Aeonians and united the Island.
    • Had 1 younger sister
    • Has idealistic views of Dante with a fairy tale mindset.
    • While idealistic about love, she is logical in all other facets
    • The events in this novel are a series of changes during her “coming of age” into adulthood: accepting new responsibility, dealing with conflict, and handling betrayal.

Great post, Julian! It's clear you know a lot about Isabel. I wish my character sheets were always so detailed! :)
